Denver Security Guard Charged with Murder

The security guard that was hired by Tegna’s KUSA in Denver was officially charged with second-degree murder yesterday.

Matthew Dolloff was hired by KUSA to provide security at a protest, where he shot and killed a man that he got into an altercation with.

According to the probable cause statement released by the Denver Police Department, Dolloff got involved in the altercation with Lee Keltner and another protester before Keltner hit Dolloff on the side of the head with an open hand.

 Dolloff pulled out his handgun and fired one shot at Keltner. Dolloff’s lawyer says his client was acting in self-defense.
