A new documentary titled “Enemies of the People” is out on YouTube and airing on ViceTV later today.

In, the doc, CNN boss Jeff Zucker sort of admits to making a mistake that helped make Donald Trump President and upending many of our lives for the past four years.

With Trump on the campaign trail back in 2016 and Zucker heading up CNN, the cable news network would show Trump’s rallies from start to finish week after week. CNN then included a number of pro-Trump talking heads on its programs—including Corey Lewandowski, who was still being paid by the Trump administration while praising him on CNN.

In the doc and talking about CNN giving Trump millions of dollars in free air time, Zucker said this, “Donald Trump would say outrageous things or say things that weren’t true, and it just became accepted as, ‘Oh, that’s what he does,’” says Zucker in the film. “Not calling that out more for what it was, and then holding the other side more accountable, that was probably a mistake.”

“Probably a mistake”?

Putting Chris Cuomo on the air in primetime was “probably a mistake”, helping make Donald Trump President and letting him divide this country and then stood by while hundreds of thousands of people died from COVID was a colossal fuck up and you should not be heading up any network, anywhere, EVER!

By the way, you you have an hour, here is the doc and it is really well done:
