Changes Go Down in DC

FTVLive FIRST told you about anchor changes going down at Fox O&O WTTG and we told you that the station would be announcing it soon.

FTVLive told you that both Angie Goff and Blake McCoy would be taking on bigger roles at the station and that the station was making a new hire from the morning show.

Yesterday WTTG News Director Paul McGonagle sent an email to the staff announcing what we had already told you.

In the email, McGonagle said starting on Monday, McCoy will be doing the 4PM, the 6PM, 6:30PM and the 11PM newscasts.

Goff will be joining McCoy is a few weeks on the 6PM and will continue doing the 4PM. Goff will also do the 10PM newscast with Jim Lokay.

According to the internal email, Marina Marraco will be on the 4PM, 5PM, 7PM and 11PM newscasts.

As for the morning show? McGonagle writes in the email:

“We will have a big announcement on November 2nd- We will announce our new morning anchor. This person is perfect fit for our morning team and newsroom. She is an extremely well respected journalist who is excited to join the FOX5 DC Team. I look forward to sharing that information with you soon.”

Fox sources have told FTVLive who the new hire is and will be letting you guys know soon. We are not announcing it just yet, because we want to show WTTG General Manager Patrick Paolini some brotherly love.
