Nexstar is so desperate for viewers for its struggling cable newscast News Nation, that they are willing to try and peal viewers away from their own Nexstar stations.

KRON (San Francisco) has started tossing to the News Nation anchors to tease what is coming up on their show later on.

There are two things that stand out about this.

First, the News Nation newscast that runs on the West Coast is a re-rack of the show that ran on the East Coast 3 hours before. In other words, the newscast that they promoting on KRON is in fact old news.

Second, Since News Nation overlaps with KRON’s late newscast, KRON is in effect asking viewers to turn off their news and watch another channel.
