Gone in Huntsville

4 years ago, FTVLive told you that WAAY in Huntsville had hired Matt Stein as their new News Director.

Stein came from the Deuce gig at WREG in Memphis.

Now it appears that the station is looking for a new News Director. Sources tell FTVLive that newly hired GM Mike Wright has parted ways with Stein and the station is now looking to make a new hire.

The last time the station hired a News Director it took months.

We’ll see if they can speed up the process a bit this time.
