1990’s Chuck Weber

After almost 4 decades, WPEC Reporter Chuck Weber signed off from the West Palm Beach station.

Weber has been at the station for 39 years.

Back in the early 90’s, Weber was named one of the first full-time Environmental Reporters in the country. That way ahead of its time move was made by Scott Jones, Weber’s News Director at the time.

Years later, as newsrooms were asked to do more with less, Weber was moved back General Assignment Reporting.

Now, he is ready to call it quits.

As for that News Director that Weber had back years ago? No one knows what happened to that guy, last anyone heard he was trying to make a living on the internet.
