Look Who's Coming Back in DC?

Tegna sources are telling FTVLive that former WTTG and Good Morning America anchor Tony Perkins is signing on at WUSA in DC.

FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that WUSA hired Perkins for a sweeps stunt during the November book, Perkins basically worked as an anchor on the station’s morning show during November book and then quietly left the station.

But sources inside Tegna now tell FTVLive that Perkins will be back for the “February book and beyond.”

While the source did not say what Perkins’ role will be at the station, we presume he will be working the morning show.

Perkins also works on DC radio station MajicDC in the afternoon and we expect and he will continue that job. That basically means the morning news is the only fit for him at the Tegna station.

Our source says that WUSA is expected to make the announcement official either today or tomorrow.
