Bumped Up In Little Rock

Longtime Little Rock Anchor Doug Krile sent along a tip that he calls “proud dad.”

Krile has retired from the business, but his daughter, Shayla Teater is carrying on the family tradition in broadcasting and just got bumped up to News Director at KTHV in Little Rock.

The promotion means that Teater is the station’s first female news chief and only the second ever in the Little Rock television news market.

KTHV President and General Manager Marty Schack announced Teater’s appointment on Tuesday.

“She has led teams that garnered regional Edward R. Murrow Awards and many Associated Press awards,” Schack said.

Also getting a bump up is Martha Myrick, who was an Executive Producer and has now been named KTHV’s Assistant News Director.
