It looks like we're seeing what looks to be an emerging trend at local TV stations of news gathering helicopters being grounded.
Cox’s (Apolo) WSB (Atlanta) has parted ways with chopper reporter Jason Durden, leading people to question whether the news chopper is being grounded?
FTVLive FIRST told you that Cox’s WJAX/WFOX in Jacksonville is doing away with their chopper.
Many stations now have drones and are finding that a news chopper is more of a luxury than a needed tool.
