Checking in on the Nexstar Paychecks

Last week, FTVLive told you how we had heard from a number of Nexstar employees that used to be Tribune employees and how their paychecks are screwed up.

As one employee said, “disaster does not begin to describe how badly they screwed up.

Word is that Nexstar’s is trying to move all the old Tribune employees over to the Nexstar system when it comes to paychecks and it is not going well.

Staffers are telling FTVLive that they had state and school taxes pulled for the wrong state.

Over the weekend, we heard from other staffers saying that Nexstar did not take deductions from paychecks for 401(k) contributions, including not paying the company match.

Word is that newly acquired KFOR the pay schedule has changed and the last check was for only one week. “So the many many people who live paycheck to paycheck are seriously feeling the pinch,” said one person.

Another said, “This is what happens when a small market company takes over big market stations.”

One thing, judging by all the email we have gotten, there are some pissed off people inside the Nexstar nation.
