Sinclair News Director has Gone M-I-A

Insiders at WWMT (Kalamazoo) say that News Director Matt Johnson has not been seen at the station for quite sometime.

His email is bouncing back with a auto-reply.

Many inside the newsroom are wondering where he Is? And, is he coming back?

A check of court records show that Johnson seems to be involved in a bit of a messy divorce and child custody battle.

Johnson’s wife claims in a court filing that he has often left his family, sometimes for days after being “overwhelmed.”

She also claims that she has had to call the police, one time at one of the kid’s birthday parties:

Divorce sucks, but I always feel sorry for the kids that are often used like pawns between the two sides.

Here’s hoping that Johnson and his wife can come to an agreement for the kids’ sake and Johnson can return back to the newsroom.
