That is Not How It is Done

FTVLive is not nor have we ever been a meteorologist.

But, we have covered more hurricanes than we can count. We were in Miami for Hurricane Andrew, in New Orleans for Katrina and have lived in Florida for years.

When the “hurricane cone” is drawn, you have all seen it. A single area that shows the possible path of the hurricane.

President Trump caught some flack this week for saying that Alabama was in the proposed path of Hurricane Dorian.

It was not and it never was.

I just figured the President misspoke and just made a mistake. It happens, we all make mistakes each and every day.

But, then Trump doubled down and said that Alabama was possibly going to be impacted by Dorian.

Again, it was not and the National Weather Service even went so far to say that Alabama would not be impacted at all.

But then Trump came out with this:

Look at the black line that has been added onto the cone that includes a small portion of Alabama.

That is not how the cones of concern are drawn and they never have been.

This is 100% a complete fabrication.

Why not just say I misspoke, instead of this?

This really does make you wonder about Trump and his inability to just say he was wrong.

This was such a small thing and it took to this level of outright trying to deceive people.

Even a hard core Trump supporter has to look at this and the length he went to and say this just isn’t right.
