New GM Named in KC

KSHB has a new General Manager.

The Scripps station has named Kathleen Choal.

Choal is currently general manager of Scripps KSBY in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

“I am excited to begin the next chapter of my Scripps career with KSHB,” said Choal. “Many of the best moments of my career have come from working with news teams to inform and empower their increasingly diverse audiences, and I feel honored to be able to dive into this work with the teams at KSHB.”

Choal is a former News Director and you know how much we love to see ND’s that have moved up to the GM’s chair. It beats the hell out of sales people getting the job.

Also, anytime a station puts a woman in the corner office, I tip my hat to them.
