Matt Lauer to Finally Tell his Side of the Story?

Word is that Matt Lauer might be coming forward to tell his story.
But, he will tell it to Tamron Hall, who’s talk show airs on the ABC stations.
“Matt and Tamron were both fired by The Today ShowOpens a New Window. and both have an ax to grind,” a source told Straight Shuter. “Matt was canned because of his outrageous sexual history and Tamron got the boot to make room for Megyn Kelly.” (FTVLive note: Hall was not fired, but decided to leave after Kelly was brought into her time slot on the Today Show. NBC did offer to keep her in a new role.).
According to the insider, Lauer is now looking to collaborate with Hall, 49, whom he believes will let him discuss the scandal without attacking him.
“Matt is looking for someone to interview him in the best possible light and Tamron is at the top of that list, plus she’s an ex colleague. Considering the topic Matt will be talking about, he must sit down with a woman,” continued the source.
“There are two tell-all books coming out soon about Matt’s behavior and he wants to get ahead of them. At this point the goal isn’t to revive his career, it’s to not lose his kids. The man has lost everything, all his has left is his children. Tamron is a mother and she will give Matt a fair shot on her new hit daytime show,” concluded the insider.
This could be a slippery slope for Hall. If she treats Lauer with kid gloves, It could hurt her reputation with women in light of the MeToo movement.
As for Lauer? He really has nothing to lose.
