This is Nexstar...

I know Nexstar’s M.O. is to do more with less, but this seems just a bit strange.

At Nexstar’s WFXR (Roanoke) News Director Kay Norred has named a new fill in Anchor and it is none other than Kay Norred.

Now, having the News Director also anchor the news happens in tiny markets, but Roanoke is the 60 something market.

I would think in that size market, you could find someone else on staff that could fill in? Also, how many News Directors have time to “play” Anchor?

Then again, if I tune into the news in Albany and see Dan Salamone anchoring, then I know this is a thing.
