A number of eyebrows were raised when KOCO Anchor Alex Housden said that a gorilla at the zoo kind of looked like her black co-anchor Jason Hackett.

Sources tell FTVLIve that the NAACP complained to the station along with a number of viewers.

Social media also took Housden to task for her comment:

While Housden was laughing as she compared her co-worker to a gorilla, she was crying the next day when she said she was sorry:

As for Hackett, he accepted the apology and handled it the situation well.
