It's About Damn Time...
/How this is only happening now, we have no idea.
Former WKBW (Buffalo) Weatherman Tom Jolls is being inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
Jolls, alongside News Anchor Irv Weinstein and Sportscaster Rick Azar dominated the ratings for years in Buffalo. At one point, the trio was one of the highest rated anchor teams in the country.
“I was very surprised and honored,” said Jolls told the Buffalo News. “I kind of forgot about the organization. It’s been 20 years since I retired, and I felt I had probably fallen into the cracks.”
He will be inducted alongside New York city sports talk radio host and NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason, WABC Anchor Diana Williams and Syracuse radio co-hosts Ted Long and Amy Robbins.
The Hall Of Fame has put Weinstein in and yet Rick Azar is still not in.
Let’s hope he makes it next year.
