CNN Journalist: 'When I speak, I don’t have news covering my speech'

Now you would think that a Journalist would be all for other Journalists doing their job and freedom of the press.

But then again, we’re talking about CNN.

Charlie Kratovil a Reporter for New Brunswick Today had the boring assignment of covering CNN’s April Ryan, who was giving a speech at the 4th annual New Jersey Parent Summit.

All seemed to be going fine until Ryan stepped up to the podium and started to talk.

It was then that her bodyguard informed her that there was a camera in the room and Ryan stopped talking and waited for her muscle to get rid of the camera.

Kratovil protested as the bodyguard grabbed the camera and took it outside the room.

It was then that Ryan told the crowd, “When I speak, I don’t have news covering my speech.”

Huh? You’re a Journalist and when you speak, other Journalists can’t cover you?

Does anyone else think that is messed up?

Kratovil posted the exchange:

After the incident moved to the hotel lobby, Ryan’s bodyguard was not done:

And yet…. Somehow Jeff Zucker still has a job.
