Bumped Up in Beer Town....

WITI (Milwaukee) Assistant News Director Jim Wilson is no longer the Deuce at the station, that’s because he just got bumped up to the big chair.

Wilson had been the acting News Director at the Tribune station when then News Director John LaPorte left for Seattle.

Now, Wilson is losing the “Acting” part of his job tittle and becomes News Director.

“I’ve had a chance to watch Jim lead the day-to-day operations of our newsroom, continuing to guide and deliver on the ‘Because You Matter’ brand promise we have with our viewers,” Chuck Steinmetz, President/General Manager said. “His extensive background in news, his tremendous storytelling ability, and his vision to lead our team across all platforms make him the right person for the job.”

We congratulate him on the new gig.
