Market 3 or 103?

I get the fact that when a holiday such as July 4th rolls around, the staff in the newsroom can be spread a bit thin.

But in Chicago (Market 3) you do not expect the station to make the news anchor do sports.

Chicago is a big a sports town as there is and yet, CBS’s WBBM had news anchor Irika Sargent also do the sportscast on July 4th.

I expect something like this to happen in market 103 and maybe even market 83, but not in market 3.

It’s no longer about Journalism and more about saving money.
