Bad Weekend for Nexstar

Many of the Nexstar stations went dark this weekend on DirecTV as the two sides fight over taking customer’s money and sticking it in their pocket.

But, that wasn’t the only bad publicity for Nexstar over the holiday weekend.

In Portland, Nexstar station KOIN was a title sponsor for the Waterfront Blues Fest during the holiday weekend.

But, union members of the station, who have been working without a new contract for 2 years, decided to use the event to get their message out about the station.

Ouch…that’s going to leave a mark.
