40 Years and Still Going

Yesterday, KTUL in Tulsa praised Rick Mickelson as he celebrated his 40th year at the station.

That means that both Rick and I worked at KTUL at the same time. I don’t remember Rick and I’m sure he doesn’t remember me.

But, to go 40 years at one station is a hell of an accomplishment.

Since the time we worked together at the same station, Mickelson has remained in Tulsa while I moved to West Palm Beach, Sacramento, St. Louis, Chicago, Tucson, Miami, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Jacksonville.

Let’s just say, Rick has a much better 401K.
