The Emmys to local television were handed out in LA this weekend as the Emmy folks raked in boatloads of cash and handed out awards like they were bottles of water (you know, if bottles of water cost $150 each).

It was a chance to West Coast newsies to pat each other on the back and like little league baseball now-a-days, just about everyone walked away with a trophy.

That included deceased KTLA Anchor Chris Burrous.

The Tribune station won an Emmy for their Parade coverage and it was that parade where Chris Burrous was supposed to host. He never did, after he was found dead in a hotel room after meeting a man to partake in drugs and bondage sex.

Ironically, the day Burrous was found in the hotel room, sources say that he told his wife he was at a meeting about the parade coverage.

The same parade that he just won an Emmy for.
