The Mixed Reporting on the Robert Mueller Hearing
/FTVLive purposely stayed away from Robert Mueller sitting down before congress.
You knew it would be more about political grandstanding by politicians and less about trying to find out the facts.
And when it came to facts, those were hard to find in the media.
It gets harder and harder to find an unbiased Journalist to tell you what really happened?
CNN’s Brian Stelter filled his Twitter feed hard left anti Trump diatribe.
NBC’s Chuck Todd was at one point trending on Twitter and being mocked for his coverage of the hearing. It is hard to believe that ever would have happened with Tim Russert.
Over at Fox News, Sean Hannity claimed victory and said that his “shoe-leather reporting” was right all along.
It’s more like ass kissing Sean….but ok?
Sadly, what was hard to find, was the facts. Journalists spun what was said to align with their network’s side. Politicians could care less about the facts and just wanted to use their face time to grandstand.
It was played out as a game of the left vs right, Trump vs the Democrats and if it was game, clearly the loser was Journalism.
This is what cable news has done to this business and this country.
They have turned it into a game.
A game to try and get ratings and push Journalism aside.
The cable news cancer is now filtering down to local news. Look at Sinclair, who now fills their newscasts with people like Boris Epshteyn and others.
This country is divided like never before and while people want to blame Trump, the GOP or the Dems….but the biggest blame goes to cable news.
It is a cancer and it is spreading across the industry.
I still can’t tell you what happened with Robert Mueller yesterday and you certainly can’t tell by reading so called Journalists reports.
But I can tell you, it is another black eye for an industry that has taken such a beating, you can barely recognize it anymore.
Sad.
