Meltdown in DC

It seems that WRC (DC) had a major technical meltdown with one of their late newscasts this week.

A number of people emailed FTVLIve to say that the NBC O&O was experiencing some problems and the station called on Weather Anchor Doug Kammerer to tap dance while they tried to get things fixed.

Sources tell FTVLive that 11pm news opened with weatherman Doug Kammerer in front of a TV monitor doing an extended weathercast.

Kammerer handled most of the show - during the main weather segment, he joked at the end "that's 10 minutes for me, guys..." Anchor Doreen Gentzler did the news from the newsroom. No music, no graphics, no video - they called it a radio show and they handled it like pros.

Even former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer noticed the job Kammerer was doing.

And let’s be honest, if anyone knows how to tap dance in front of a mic, it’s Sean Spicer.
