FTVLive first told you back in March that Sinclair’s WKEF/WRGT was working on an app that was dubbed “Project Seagull” internally.

Then, last week, we told you that the app was being rolled out with the name Dayton 24/7.

Now when viewers try to open the WKEF or the WRGT app they are greeted with this screen and told to download the Dayton 24/7 app.

So, the viewer is being told that “we’re joining forces with another news team to bring you twice the coverage”

That is not exactly true. The two stations are a duopoly and since becoming one, they have always been one news department.

But, the Sinclair station is trying to make it sound that they have joined a up with another news operation, despite that they have always been joined up.

Seems like someone is trying to pull the wool over the viewers eyes.
