Sources tell FTVLive that some stations are calling all hands on deck as an early season storm has its sights set on the bayou.

Weather news is taking over station’s websites as the Big Easy braces for impact.

Some mandatory evacuations are in place and more are expected.

As for TV crews covering the storm, PLEASE stay safe and remember the story is not about you.

Do not stand out in the storm screaming into a mic thinking that this is your ticket to the network. It is so overplayed and has been done already for decades.
