Headed to the Island

Spectrum News Syracuse Reporter Courtney Carter is leaving the station and headed to Rhode Island.

Carter is headed to Nexstar’s WPRI.

Two interesting things to note. Carter is the daughter of longtime NY1 Anchor/Reporter Dominic Carter. And, when she arrives in Providence, she will not only be the lone black Reporter at WPRI, she’ll be the only black TV Reporter in the Providence market.

Congrats to Carter on the new gig.

As for the TV stations in Providence, you guys need to do better when it comes to diversity.

Just saying….
