That's Just So Wrong...
/FTVLive has told you time and time again how much we think that people that call for boycotts on a TV station, a show or a company is really not cool.
I have said a number of times, when groups have tried to organize a boycott of a show like Sean Hannity or Tucker Carlson , I think it is wrong.
If you don’t like a show, a station, don’t watch it. It’s as simple as that.
There is no doubt that CNN has really fallen into the toilet when it comes to the product they put on the air. At one point, CNN was the gold standard of cable news. But, under Jeff Zucker the channel has become more of a punchline, than a news channel.
It is sad to see how far CNN has fallen under Zucker and there is hope that the tarnished image of the used to be cable news network can be saved.
But, that being said, it is shocking that the President of the United States would call on people to boycott CNN’s owner AT&T, just because he doesn’t like how they cover him.
That is exactly what Trump did the minute he landed in the UK. He sent out these tweets:
We have reached a place in our society that I never thought would happen and I’m sad that it has. The President is now asking the American people to boycott a US based company. A company that employees thousands and thousands of U.S. citizens. Seriously? What the fuck?
I am not a fan of CNN and to be honest, I have had AT&T cellphone service for over 20 years and I’m not really a fan of theirs either. I have watched my phone bill inch up over the years to the point that I’m paying over $100 for a single phone line each and every month.
So, while I think CNN is awful and AT&T is not much better, I would never call for a boycott of either or.
President Trump needs to rethink statements like this and not put the lives and jobs of thousands of Americans on the line, just because he doesn’t like CNN’s coverage.
That’s my take, now if you excuse me, I think I need to make a call to Verizon and see if I can get that phone bill down.
