For years, WDSU (New Orleans) Anchor Scott Walker would get tweets that were directed at Scott Walker the Governor of Wisconsin.

The anchor would reply, that he was the wrong Scott Walker and that he was not a politician.

But, that’s about to change.

Scott Walker, the former Anchor is about to run for the Jefferson Parish at-large council seat. The Jefferson Parish council has two at-large seats, and sitting councilmen Ricky Templet and Paul Johnston have announced plans to run for them.

Walker is expect to also enter the race.

“I’m not commenting except to say, ‘Stay tuned,’” Walker said.

Walker is expected to announce his campaign this Friday.
