On the Lamb in Louisville

A staff meeting was called at WDRB (Louisville) and General Manager Bill Lamb announced that he is leaving the station for a bigger market (he did not say where?).

Sources inside the station say that the announcement of his departure caught everyone by surprise.

Lamb put his house in “Louisville's most exclusive neighborhood” on the market for just over $2 million bucks and he is making July 5th his last day at the station.

"Decisions like these are always difficult, but I have been made an offer to run a television station in a top 10 market and I couldn't turn down the challenge," Lamb wrote in a memo to the staff. "WDRB has never been stronger and I think I am leaving it with a brilliant future."

Lamb has not said what station he is going to, but if I was a GM in a Top 10 market, I might be a bit worried.

Just saying…
