Anyone longtime reader of FTVLive knows that I stand for two things…
The love and safety of animals and the more hiring of women and minorities in TV news, especially in the role of management.
With that being said, it was a bit disappointing to see the turnout at an IRE panel about “hiring & retaining journalists from historically marginalized groups”
The IRE Conference was this past weekend in Houston and while many of the sessions were well attended, this one just had a handful of people.
We need to do better when it comes to hiring.
