Game of Thrones and a Doubleshot Espresso

I will happily admit that I have never seen a single minute of the TV show Game of Thrones. I have not watched and have no urge to do so.

So, with that said, I’m not sure what the time period of GOT’s is supposed to be set in? But, it appears to be back in a time when there was not a Starbucks on every corner.

So why is there a Starbucks coffee cup in this scene?
