It Will Likely Be Announced Today...
/It is expected that sometime today, Sinclair will announced that it has bought the Fox Sports Networks from Disney.
This will give Sinclair stations in Los Angeles, Detroit and other big or midsize markets.
This move was plan B for Sinclair after the FCC killed their deal to buy the Tribune stations after they claim that Sinclair was not upfront with them.
The sports nets are part of the Disney deal to buy a large portion of Fox. Disney was told that they would have had to spin off the sports nets to get the deal approved.
Sinclair appears to be the buyer, but don’t be surprised that when they takeover the sports nets, they use it as a platform to push out their conservative message to viewers.
Like we said, it is likely that the deal will be announced sometime today.
Stay tuned….
