There is no doubt that CNN Correspondent Jim Acosta’s favorite subject is Jim Acosta.

The cable news Reporter has a new book out which in it he says that “neutrality” in reporting is not effective in the age of President Donald Trump.

What?!

But isn’t the job of a Journalist to present both sides of a story and do so in a neutral way?

Not according to Acosta.

He says his style of aggressive questioning is necessary with Trump: “Neutrality for the sake of neutrality doesn’t really serve us in the age of Trump.”

He also says that during his exchanges with the White House, he often “opts for the bait” during his countless viral confrontations with the president, which he admitted can constitute “showboating” or “grandstanding” from time to time and “bothers some people.”

I would argue that it bothers more than some people and yes, he is completely showboating.

But, what bothers us more is the fact that he no longer thinks a Reporter should be “neutral” while covering the Trump White House.

That statement alone would get many Reporters fired from their job.

Yet somehow, both he and CNN boss Jeff Zucker have a job.
