New ND Named in PA

WICU/WSEE has named Scott MacDowell as the station’s new News Director.

MacDowell comes to Erie.PA after serving as Assistant News Director for WIAT in Birmingham, Alabama for seven years.

Before Alabama, MacDowell was the Chief Photographer at WKBW in Buffalo, New York and at one point he worked with your humble FTVLive Editor (and yet somehow he managed to survive).

“Scott brings a wealth of knowledge to our NBC and CBS stations in Erie”, said Brian Trauring, Vice President of News, Marketing & Content Development for Lilly Broadcasting. “He knows the region well. He is an Emmy-award winning journalist who will continue to elevate the tradition of excellence at Erie News Now with an emphasis on great storytelling and comprehensive coverage of events in Northwest Pennsylvania.”

The move from Alabama to Erie brings him much closer to getting real chicken wings and not the crap “Buffalo Wings” that are sold outside the Queen City.
