Chicago Vets Leave with Buyouts

CBS continues to try and cut costs at both the network and the O&O’s.

FTVLive told you that CBS was starting to offer up buyouts to try and trim the payroll.

At least four longtime staffers at WBBM in Chicago have taken the company’s offer of a buyout.

Robert Feder reports that news news planning manager Deidra White, special projects EP Marda LeBeau, political producer Ed Marshall and photojournalist Alif Muhammad all are leaving the station.

After the buyouts are complete, years of experience will walk out the door at WBBM, not to be replace, or replaced with inexpensive hires.

Is this a great business or what?
