Back in March of 2016, FTVLive told you that WBZ in Boston had sacked News Director Gary LaPlante.

LaPlante had crossed the street in August of 2014 from WFXT to become WBZ’s ND.

After losing that job, LaPlante resurfaced in Boston at WHDH as an Executive Producer. But, he might be looking for another job soon after being arrested.

WHDH reported (good for them) that LaPlante was arrested over the weekend in Norfolk on charges of assault and battery and assault and battery on a police officer for an incident at his Norfolk home over the weekend.

The station says he's been placed on leave.

He's formally charged with domestic assault and battery, assault and battery on a police officer and interfering with a police investigation.

He's scheduled for arraignment in Wrentham District Courtlater today.
