Judge Tells Nexstar to Cease and Deist

The engineers, editors, newscast directors, photographers, assignment editors, and digital content producers of KOIN (Portland) are represented by NABET Local 51 and have been in a long two year negotiation with Nexstar for a new contract.

Needless to say, it did not go well and the two sides went to court.

Administrative Law Judge Robert A. Giannasi ruled in the union’s favor and has ordered Nexstar to cease and deist from “failing and refusing to bargain in good faith with the Union by making unilateral changes to the terms and conditions of employment….”
