From Intern to News Director

Just about every News Director in this business at one point and time started as an intern.

They moved through different jobs at different stations and finally ended up in the News Director chair. That’s how I did it and so did most other ND’s.

But, then there is Allison McGinley.

Allison started at WKMG (then known as WCPX) in Orlando as an intern. She is now the station’s News Director and she did it without ever leaving the station.
