Good Month for MSNBC
/The cable news ratings for February show that Fox News is leading as always and CNN is dead last as always.
But, this month, MSNBC should be the one most happy. Before Jeff Zucker took over CNN, MSNBC spent most of the time in the ratings basement. But now, MSNBC is a solid No. 2 behind FNC and they are growing faster than anyone else.
CNN also saw a bump up in their Feb ratings, but they are still so very far behind.
By the way, all three networks lost some big numbers in the demos.
Here are the numbers:
TOTAL DAY:
FNC: 1,458,000 total viewers – down 6% (261,000 in 25-54 – down 21%)
MSNBC: 1,105,000 total viewers – up 12% (184,000 in 25-54 – down 14%)
CNN: 707,000 total viewers – up 1% (197,000 in 25-54 – down 14%)
PRIMETIME: 8-11PM/ET
FNC: 2,609,000 total viewers – down 6% (463,000 in 25-54 – down 20%)
MSNBC: 1,964,000 total viewers – up 9% (342,000 in 25-54 – down 14%)
CNN: 1,073,000 total viewers – up 10% (316,000 in 25-54 – down 11%)
