Nexstar Station Hires American Idol Contestant

Nexstar’s KXRM (Colorado Springs) lost an Anchor to a distillery, but has found another talent from American Idol.

The station has hired Claudia Garofalo, a Texas native,who most recently was host of the lifestyle show "San Antonio Living" and served as a traffic anchor at Sinclair’s WOAI.

Garofalo is also a professional singer who participated in the seventh season of "American Idol." She made it to the Hollywood rounds, but not win the grand prize.

So now, she’ll work for Nexstar.
