The Hypocrisy that is TV News...

Last week, FTVLive FIRST told you that KOKI (Tulsa) Anchor/Reporter Tiffany Alaniz was busted for DUI after crashing her car into a power pole and shutting down a major street in Tulsa. Don’t worry, the other guys should get around to the story later today.,

When contacted by the local paper to ask about Alaniz’s arrest, KOKI News Director Tina Commodore (yes, this Tina Commodore) declined to comment on the arrest because it is a “personnel matter.”

You have to love how TV stations clam up when the news is about themselves. Do you think if the Mayor of Tulsa’s Chief of Staff was busted for DUI and causing the shut down of a major road, KOKI would settle for the Mayor declining comment and saying it was a “personnel matter.”

TV stations love to “ask the tough questions” but they sure as hell hate answering them.

Alaniz’s bio is still listed on the station’s website and as far as we can tell by looking at the station’s site, it appears that they have ignored the story of their Anchor’s arrest.
