Station Fires Meteorologist for Brain Teaser

Gray’s KSWO (Lawton, OK) Fired Meteorologist Mandy Bailey after she offered up a brain teaser on Monday’s morning newscast.

Bailey showed this on the air and viewers were supposed to figure out the phrase.

It did not take long for viewers to figure out Bailey’s brain teaser and the answer of “Hang in There.”

It also did not take long for someone to find the noose as offensive. Not sure if they found it insensitive to suicide or if they found it racist cause they interpreted the noose as lynching.

Either way, the station decided to fire Bailey.

Fired? Really? This is one of those stories that leave me scratching my head. I don’t know Mandy Bailey at all, but I’m fairly certain that she had no ill intent and yet she was fired.

Are you kidding me?

Then again, it is a Gray station.
