Most viewers don’t know the name, Bill Hemmer. But, if you say the Fox News Anchor that tilts his head funny when he talks, then they often know who you are talking about.

Hemmer has been at Fox News for years and has never really done anything bad, nor anything that really stands out.

But, Fox News has now announced that starting in January, Hemmer will take over the time slot that was hosted by Shepard Smith.

Quoting Fox News boss Jay Wallace, “Bill is an incredible newsman and his ability to cut to the heart of the story while humanizing major events has made him a standout talent in news. As we start gearing up for the 2020 election, we are thrilled to have him lead our news division through what will sure to be an eventful year.”

Smith was one of the few people with a daily show on Fox News that was not afraid to call it like it was. Many Fox News viewers did not like Smith because when Donald Trump lied, Smith told the viewer it was a lie.

Don’t look for Hemmer to do that.

Putting Hemmer in Shep’s seat is like going to Baskin Robbins with over 30 flavors of ice cream and ordering plain old vanilla.

It was a safe choice for Fox News and a pretty boring choice at that.
