The Worst Company of 2019

I could not wait when it comes to naming the worst company for 2019 and you might be a bit surprised to find out it is not a media company.

Nope, the company that is the worst in 2019, is a company that has held me hostage in my own house since Friday.

Recently, I order two different packages from two different companies. One company was in Charlotte and the item I ordered cost just over $150. The other item was from a company in California and it cost over a $1000 dollars.

Both items were shipped to me around the same time and both items we set to be delivered to me via FedEx on Friday (pic right)

The more expensive item was over a hundred pounds and required a signature. So, on Friday I sat in my house all day waiting for FedEx to deliver my packages and sign for the one that needed to be signed for.

Friday came and went and despite waiting all day and not leaving my house, neither package was delivered.

I then got an email from FedEx saying that the Charlotte package, would be delivered on Saturday. That day came and went and still nothing.

As for the package I need to sign for, FedEx told me that the package was on the truck and was “out for delivery” on Monday.

Another day not leaving the house and waiting.

I got into a Twitter DM with FedEX and they said that despite the package from Charlotte on the truck and out for delivery, they could not find it and it was now lost.

So, according to FedEx both packages are on the truck and they seem to be driven all over Jacksonville, but never make it to my house.

Monday came and went and I still did not get either package.

This morning I got another email from FedEx saying that the package I need to sign for will be coming today and they have shortened the waiting window to just under 5 hours.

As for the Charlotte package? It has been on a truck since Friday and is being driven all over Florida, but FedEx does not have a clue as to where it is?

In the meantime, Yesterday while sitting in my house I ordered something from Amazon around lunchtime. By 5PM that package was at my door, no signature required.

There was a time when I thought FedEx was a well run company that could be counted on. I don’t think that anymore.

My advice to you guys, if you are looking to ship anything for the holidays or any other time, stay away from FedEX, use UPS or someone else.

Better yet, just order it off Amazon and know that it will get to where it needs to go.

FedEX Sucks!
