They Beat Themselves?

According CBS O&O KYW in Philly there was good news and bad news for the hometown Villanova Wildcats football team yesterday.

As the station was showing sports highlights in their 10PM newscast, the ticker below showed that Villanova won a close one 45-44 over Villanova.

Wait! back up…. How did a college football team play themselves on Saturday?

They didn’t, Villanova played the SE Louisiana Lions in a playoff game and after being up big, they folded like a lawn chair and ended up losing (can you tell I have friends that went to Villanova and I like rubbing it in?).

It was a small mistake, but for an O&O in a top market, this kind of thing is inexcusable.
