Is It Sweeps?

You know when stations break out the sex and prostitution stories that you are definitely in ratings.

This ratings staple has been around for as long as TV news has been on the air.

Sinclair’s WJLA is the latest to try and grab ratings by getting down and dirty with prostitutes.

And yes, before you email me, I know that Sinclair’s executive chairman David Smith was busted for soliciting a prostitute. Yes, I know it’s ironic that this Sinclair station is doing this for sweeps.

But it’s the November book and this station’s ratings are awful, they have to try something.
