More Stations Sold

Standard Media which is led by two former Media General Executives, Deb McDermont and Stan Knott announced that they bought a group of small market stations.

Standard Media has been trying to grow their station portfolio and they did so by buying 8 stations for the cheap price of under $60 million bucks.

The stations bought are:

WGBC-TV in Meridian, Miss., (Fox and NBC affiliate)

WHPM-LD in Hattiesburg, Miss., (Fox affiliate)

WNBJ-LD in Jackson, Tenn., (NBC)

KJNB-LD and KJNE-LD in Jonesboro, Ark., (Fox and CBS)

WPBI-LD in Lafayette, Ind., (Fox and NBC)

WPBY-LD in Lafayette, Ind., (ABC)

WYDC-TV in Elmira/Corning, N.Y., (Fox)

WJKP in Elmira/Corning, N.Y., (MyNet)
