Shep is Back

Last night former Fox News Anchor Shepard Smith hosted the Committee to Protect Journalists' annual fund-raising dinner and he put his money where he mouth was.

"Tonight," Smith said as he hosted the event, "I'm donating half a million dollars to this cause." "It's your turn," he added as he received a standing ovation.

Smith did not say anything about Fox News, but he did take a shot at President Trump, without using his name. Smith said that "intimidation and vilification of the press is now a global phenomenon. We don’t have to look far for evidence of that.”

Yesterday Trump continued his almost daily attacks on the media.

As someone that has spent most of my life as a Journalist, to stand by and watch the President of the United States tear down the profession makes me sick.

We all deserve better.
